It is November 17, 1989. The then communist regime has firmly governed for more than 40 years and there is no sign of change, unlike East Germany, Poland or Hungary, totalitarian relations in Czechoslovakia look stable. Students convene a gathering at Albertov to commemorate occasion of the 50th anniversary of the closure of universities and execution of students by the Germans. The procession, which will subsequently pass through the center of Prague, will be stopped at Národní třída by members of the State Security. This will trigger a chain of events leading to the end of the totalitarian regime, the democratization of society, the so-called Velvet Revolution. Follow in the footsteps of the procession of 17th November and get to know the places where the history of the modern Czech state happened.
